“While I started the fast schedule in solidarity with Gregory Koger who is currently on hunger strike at Cook County jail for an outrageous 300 day conviction of videotaping an anti-censorship statement at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago back in November 2009 (he is doing the Hunger Strike in solidarity with the California Prisoners hunger strike) and the California Prisoners Hunger strike I have broadened that solidarity to include the Guantanamo Hunger Strikers. I am doing 3 days on fast and four days off. The only thing I do for nourishment and to avoid dehydration is drink one 210 calorie protein drink each day of the fast and drink lots of water because I work a full time job and need to be able to function while there. I completed my second 3 day fast just this past Wednesday evening.” – August 2nd, 2013
